The more I photograph, the more I am interested in conservation and photography. We are at a crossroads, and whatever I can do to change our behavior I am all for. My conservation photography started as conversations about my fine art photographs in galleries. People often ask "Where is that?", and then after I answered "Alaska" or wherever, I would ask them "Have you been there?" More often than not, it would be no. I want people to go to these locations and take in the vistas in person. We are only going to protect and care about places and things we have a connection with.
I am also very interested in documenting threatened places and animals. The galleries below show some of my recent work with threatened and endangered frogs in California. If you would like any information on any of these photos, or you have a project you think I would be interested in, please contact me.
